Scope of this policy
This policy explains how Find a Compounding Pharmacy handles information when people use the website, search the directory or submit an approved doctor or pharmacy business enquiry.
Personal information can include information that identifies or could reasonably identify a person. Some technical information, such as an IP address or precise device location, may also be personal information depending on the circumstances.
Patient and medical information
The directory is not designed to collect information about patients. It does not provide patient accounts, patient enquiry forms or prescription upload facilities.
Do not send us patient names, contact details, prescriptions, symptoms, medical histories, medicine requests or other health information. Contact a pharmacy or prescriber directly through a channel they confirm.
Directory searches and browser location
You can search by entering a suburb or postcode. Search terms are used to show nearby directory results and are not intended to identify a patient.
If you choose “Use my current location”, your browser asks for permission to provide coordinates. Those coordinates are used temporarily in your browser to calculate distance. They are not intentionally stored, added to analytics events or attached to outbound pharmacy links.
Doctor and pharmacy business enquiries
Separate forms for prescribers and pharmacy representatives collect professional and business contact details needed to assess and respond to an enquiry. This may include a name, work email, phone number, organisation, location and professional or business information.
We use this information to validate the enquiry, respond, assess directory participation or professional interest, maintain relevant business records and meet legal obligations. It may be delivered to the directory team’s email service and retained for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.
These forms must not be used to provide patient information.
Technical information and logs
Like most websites, hosting and security services may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP address, browser type, device information, request time, requested page and diagnostic or security events.
We use this information for site operation, security, error investigation and service reliability. We do not intentionally combine technical logs with patient medical information.
Analytics, cookies and browser storage
Optional analytics remain off unless you accept them through the privacy choices control. If enabled and configured, analytics may record coarse events such as completing a directory search, viewing a profile or selecting an outbound contact action.
Analytics events are not intended to include browser coordinates, prescription information, medicine or health search terms, or business form contents. Browser storage records your analytics choice so the site can remember it.
You can reopen the privacy choices control from the footer. See Cookies and analytics for a shorter explanation.
External pharmacy and map links
When you follow a link, call a pharmacy or open directions, you interact with an independent pharmacy, mapping provider or other third party. Their privacy practices apply to that interaction. Review their policy before providing personal or health information.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information handled. No internet service or email system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including security, business correspondence and legal requirements, then deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
Access, correction and privacy concerns
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you through a doctor or pharmacy business enquiry, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern.
Contact team@findacompoundingpharmacy.com.au. We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making a correction. We will respond within a reasonable period.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when website practices, service providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
